Stories of UberTherapy mailing list — Version 1.0, effective 16 July 2026
1. Who we are
This mailing list is run by Elizabeth Cotton, trading as Surviving Work, who is the data controller under UK GDPR. This page was built as a technical service on Elizabeth's behalf; the builder has no access to, and no role in controlling, the data collected here.
2. What we collect
When you sign up using the form on this page, we collect:
- Your first name, so we can address you personally
- Your email address, so we can notify you
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your email address only to let you know when new Stories of UberTherapy episodes are released, and about related news such as the podcast launch event. Our legal basis is your consent — given when you submit the form — which you can withdraw at any time.
This list is kept separate from Surviving Work's general mailing list. Signing up here does not add you to that list.
4. Who we share it with
Your details are held on Elizabeth's mailing list platform (Squarespace), used to send the podcast notification emails. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with anyone else.
5. Sending data outside the UK
Squarespace may process data in the United States. Where this happens, it is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under UK GDPR.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your name and email address until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- See a copy of your personal data
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your data
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Withdraw your consent at any time
You can unsubscribe using the link in any email we send, or by contacting Elizabeth via survivingwork.org/contact. If we cannot resolve your concern, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Children
This list is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we will update the version number and date at the top of this page.
